Even after some extensive cropping I was still able to recover quite a lot of detail in this portrait! I have the say that the EOD 10D is a great camera!

I think this is a terrific shot ... so much in soft mid-tones and the light is a delight.

I like the portrait on the surface but open it up about a stop or so to blur the bg a little.

I think that would still retain detail in the face while removing emphasis in the semi-busy background.
